Co-authors, James R. Abney and Bethe A. Scalettar’s, new book, “Introduction to Light Microscopy and Medical Imaging: With Experiments” is scheduled for release in summer 2018 and is now available for purchase on Amazon.
This book introduces the imaging techniques used in medicine and science, presenting the underlying physics concepts to explore optical microscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, radiography, computed tomography, radionuclide imaging, and magnetic resonance imaging. The authors reinforce concepts with illustrative examples, problems, applications, and experiments. Readers will learn imaging fundamentals, practical uses, strengths, and weaknesses of each major technique. The contents are bolstered by many vivid images and boxed text featuring an in-depth explanation of key ideas.
